Syrian Forces Seize US-Made Weapons Terrorists Left behind

Alwaght- Syrian forces have seized on Saturday large cache of weapons, some of which were US-made, that were left behind by ISIS and al-Nusra Front terrorists in the liberated villages in Hama, Aleppo, and Idleb countryside.

Sources say  in Hama that the army units seized large amounts of weapons and munitions left behind by ISIS and  and al-Nusra Front terrorists, during the army’s combing operations in the villages near Ibn Wardan castle in Hama countryside and the villages in Idleb and Aleppo countryside.

The seized weapons included scores of munitions boxes, dozens of mortar shells, a rocket launcher, and US-made TOW launchers.

Last month, Syrian authorities seized a large cache of weapons, toxic materials and Israeli-made mines left by fleeing ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The authorities discovered Israeli-made mines, poisonous materials and weapons from the remnants of ISIS during the mop-up operations of the villages of al-Sayyal, Hassrat and the town of al-Jalaa in the eastern countryside of the province.

Syria blames Western countries, especially the US for backing terrorist groups in the country. The Israeli regime has also provided significant amounts of cash, food, fuel and medical supplies to terrorsits fighting against Bashar al-Assad’s government.

Syrian forces are engaged in intensive operations to wipe out remnants of terrorists in many parts of the country after a successful offensive to retake all territories previously occupied by ISIS terrorist group in the country. Syria has been gripped by a foreign-backed insurgency since 2011 which has led to the killing of hundreds of thousands of civilians and displacing of millions.
