ALWAGHT- Pope Francis has denounced the Zionist regime’s airstrikes in Gaza, describing them as an act of "cruelty."
“Yesterday, children were bombed… This is cruelty, not war. I wanted to share this because it touches the heart,” Pope Francis said on Saturday during his annual Christmas address.
The Pope, typically cautious about taking sides in conflicts, has recently become more vocal in criticizing the Zionist regime’s actions in Gaza.
Pope Francis has recently intensified his criticism of Israeli military actions in Gaza, describing them as "cruelty" and calling for an investigation into whether these actions constitute genocide. In his annual Christmas address, he specifically referenced the deaths of at least 25 Palestinians in a recent airstrike, emphasizing the humanitarian impact of the conflict.
This marks a significant shift from the Pope's traditionally neutral stance on international conflicts. In a book published last month, he stated that "what is happening in Gaza has the characteristics of genocide," urging a thorough investigation into the matter.
