Medvedev Responds to the Assassination of Senior General Kirillov

ALWAGHT- Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, warned that the Kyiv regime would face severe consequences for the death of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, Chief of Russia's Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops.

Medvedev stated that attempts to intimidate Russia, halt its offensive, or spread fear are destined to fail. He vowed that severe punishment awaits what he referred to as 'Banderite Nazis,' including the top military and political leaders of a failing state. His office conveyed this message of condolences to the family and friends of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, who was killed in the attack.

Condemning the incident, Medvedev described it as an act by the 'collapsing Kyiv regime.' He asserted that the attack reflects the desperation of what he called the 'Banderite regime,' which, according to him, is trying to justify its precarious existence to its Western backers and prolong the conflict through cowardly assaults on civilians in urban areas.

On the morning of December 17, an explosive device hidden in a scooter detonated near the entrance of a residential building on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow. The blast claimed the lives of Kirillov, 54, and his aide, as reported by investigators. The Russian Investigative Committee has classified the incident as a terrorist attack, according to Committee Spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko via TASS.
