ALWAGHT- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that leading Muslim nations—especially Saudi Arabia—bear a “significant responsibility” in the current crisis, asserting that solidarity among Islamic countries could deter Israeli aggression.
At the emergency Islamic and Arab League summit in Doha, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian urged unity among Muslim nations, stressing that Israel would not dare to attack or invade if Islamic countries stood together. In talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, he highlighted Riyadh’s pivotal role in fostering cohesion. Bin Salman echoed the call for closer ties, emphasizing the need for stronger cooperation among regional powers to counter Israeli aggression and defend their independence.
Pezeshkian carried the same message to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, stressing that the most effective way to confront Israel’s “crimes” is through solidarity and coordinated action. Both leaders welcomed improved bilateral relations with Iran and underscored the importance of a unified, practical stance among Muslim nations to prevent further escalation.
In meetings with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Pezeshkian condemned Israel for acting without limits and criticized Western nations for enabling its actions through silence and support. He argued that only Islamic unity could halt what he called Israel’s “barbaric crimes,” a point echoed by his counterparts, who also stressed the urgency of collective resistance to continued Israeli offensives.
