ALWAGHT- According to Iran, the latest IAEA report indicating no credible proof of military dimensions reinforces the peaceful intent of its nuclear activities.
The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) responded to the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) latest report, emphasizing that the absence of any evidence pointing to military intentions confirms the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program. While the confidential report raised concerns over undeclared nuclear activities and uranium enriched up to 60%, Iran stressed that these activities are fully monitored and verified by the IAEA, and enrichment at this level is not prohibited under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Iran’s AEOI highlighted the importance of the IAEA basing its assessments on verified, credible, and undisputed sources to maintain objectivity and professionalism. The agency criticized the inclusion of what it considers irrelevant issues in the report and reiterated that all Iranian nuclear materials and activities have been declared and are under strict IAEA oversight.
Iran has previously criticized the IAEA’s confidential reports, warning that politically motivated accusations could jeopardize its cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog. Despite repeated politically charged claims, the IAEA’s own records have consistently recognized the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program.
