Millions Rally Worldwide on Quds Day amid Western Media Blackout, Distortion

Alwaght- Massive rallies have been held worldwide to marking the International Quds Day and as expected the Western-Zionist media empire has not only given a blackout to these rallies but also seeks to distort their lofty aims.

From Cape Town to Tunis, from Zaria to Karachi, Tehran to Jakarta, from Washington to London Muslims and non-Muslims came out in their millions to express solidarity with the oppressed and downtrodden Palestinians and condemning the Israeli usurper regime.

Yet an event of this magnitude has been ignored and distorted by the Western-Zionist global media empire for reasons not hidden to any keen observer.

Held every year on the last Friday of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Al-Quds Day was designated so by the late leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini; both a rallying cry of solidarity, and a sign of hope.

The Western-Zionist media empire which controls major global news outlets has been keen to delegitimize Al-Quds by claiming the day is a rallying call against Jews or anti-Semitism.

Al-Quds Day neither promote ethno-sectarian hatred, nor does it advocate against Judaism. Al-Quds Day denounces all forms of absolutism and radicalism – regardless and absolutely.

So yes I will have to thoroughly disagree with those cynics and opportunists, who still see in Al-Quds Day the devilish hand of anti-Semitic dissent.

Indeed, in Quds Day rallies held in Iran and specifically Tehran, member of the Jewish community in the country participated in the rally in solidarity with oppressed Palestinians.

Speaking to Iran’s official news agency, IRNA, the executive director of Tehran Jewish Committee, Homayoun Sameyah Najafabadi, said that there is no link between Judaism and Zionism. Najafabadi noted that the Zionist regime is just a political party and there is no link between the Jewish religion and Zionism.

Noting that the Zionist regime is manipulating Judaism for materialistic purposes, he said that all the world freedom-lovers, including the Jews, are supportive of the Palestinian people.

Najafabadi expressed hope that all the people across the world, especially people in the Palestinian territory live under everlasting peace.

He also urged global media outlets to be committed to supporting the Palestinians and bringing to the global attention the criminal actions by the Zionists against the Palestinians.

The Iranian Jews living in Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz and Kermanshah attended the Quds Day rallies to condemn the Zionist regime atrocities committed against Palestinians, he said.

Western-Zionist media however, continue to distort facts as a way of protecting the Israeli regime while revolutionary Muslims have been targets, blamed for almost everything that goes wrong under the sun.

Interestingly, this bias and distortion on Quds Day is not merely evinced by the Western media. Media in the West Asia region, funded by pro-Zionist and Pro-West reactionary monarchies also focuses on certain stories and neglects others depending on the whims of the rulers and directions issued from Tel Aviv to Washington.

These reactionary Arab states in the region are not only just content with boycotting and distorting Quds Day, but they have also targeting media outlets out to enlighten the masses. Resistance channels such as Al Manar, Al Mayadeen, Al Alam and Press TV have been a target or regular clampdown by satellite broadcast platforms owned by pro-Israeli companies or outfits run by regional Arab monarchies.

Despite all the efforts to undermine the International Quds Day, Muslims even in war torn countries such as Yemen, Syria and Iraq came out in large numbers to express their support for the struggle to emancipate Palestine and condiment the Israeli regime. No amount of intimidation, distortion or media boycott will stop the ever growing wave in support of the Palestinian resistance.
