Iran, Venezuela Agree to Deepen Collaboration in Nuclear Sector

ALWAGHT- In Tehran, the Iranian Vice President and chief of the Atomic Energy Organization held talks with visiting Venezuelan Deputy Minister for Science and Technology, Alberto Quintero, focusing on nuclear cooperation.

On Sunday, Iran’s Vice President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, met with Venezuela’s Deputy Minister for Science and Technology, Alberto Quintero, at the organization’s headquarters in Tehran. Eslami praised Venezuela’s potential and emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in scientific and technological fields. He highlighted that true independence comes from self-reliance and progress, especially in advanced sectors like nuclear technology.

Eslami criticized the global imperialist system for attempting to hinder the scientific development of other nations, stressing that continued technological cooperation between Iran and Venezuela is essential. He expressed hope that Venezuela would overcome external pressures and reach its strategic goals through resilience and collaboration.

Quintero, in turn, commended the progress made in recent years through joint efforts, noting the successful launch of a nuclear physics department at a Venezuelan university with Iran’s support. He also announced plans to expand nuclear education programs and underscored the value of learning from Iran’s experience in countering international sanctions.
