ALWAGHT- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic released a statement following the Israeli regime's failed attack on Iranian soil.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks on Iranian military sites as a violation of international law and the UN Charter, particularly regarding the prohibition of force against a country's sovereignty.
The ministry asserted Iran's right to self-defense, as stated in Article 51 of the UN Charter, and committed to using all resources to protect its security and interests. It expressed gratitude to nations that condemned the Israeli assault.
The ministry highlighted that the ongoing occupation and crimes by the Zionist regime, particularly against the Palestinian people and Lebanon, supported by the US and some Western countries, are major causes of regional instability.
It also called on all UN member states and signatories of relevant conventions to take urgent, collective action against Israel's violations of international law and the UN Charter.
