An Israeli airstrike killed three sons of Hamas leader Haniyeh

An Israeli airstrike killed three sons of Hamas leader Haniyeh

ALWAGHT- An Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday resulted in the martyrdom of three sons of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.

Hamas stated that the three sons of Ismail Haniyeh—Hazem, Amir, and Mohammad—were killed when the car they were traveling in was bombed in Gaza's Al-Shati camp. Additionally, four of Haniyeh's grandchildren, including three girls and one boy, also lost their lives in the attack.

Based abroad in Qatar, Haniyeh has served as the outspoken figurehead of Hamas' international diplomacy as conflict with the Zionist regime continues in Gaza, where an Israeli airstrike destroyed his family home in November.

Haniyeh, told Al Jazeera TV, 'The blood of my sons is not dearer than the blood of our people.

The three sons and four grandchildren were visiting family on the first day of Eid al-Fitr holiday in Shati, their home refugee camp in Gaza City, according to relatives.

Hamas stated on Tuesday that it was reviewing an Israeli ceasefire proposal in the over six-month-long Gaza conflict but deemed it "inflexible" and lacking any fulfillment of Palestinian demands.

"Our demands are clear and specific, and we will not compromise on them. The enemy is mistaken if it believes that targeting my sons, during the height of negotiations and prior to the movement's response, will lead Hamas to alter its stance," Haniyeh said.
