Alwaght-The United States has refused to deliver advanced F-35 stealth multirole fighter jets to Arab states to beef up their aerial power in a move meant to protect the Israeli regime.
The Zionist daily Maariv in a report revealed that the Israeli regime has been assured by the US that this type of aircraft “will be exclusively allocated for Israel in the Middle East.”
The Hebrew-language daily further reported that the Israeli regime does not want Arab states to aquire F-35 military aircraft as this would chip away at the technological superiority of Tel Aviv in the region.”
Earlier reports indicated that the US was contemplating the sale of fifth-generation F-35 aircraft to Persian Gulf states of Qatar and Kuwait.
The US has declared several times that it will ensure the Israeli regime maintains a technological edge over Arab states in military hardware.
This comes just days after the US reneged on its deal to partly finance Pakistan’s purchase of at least eight F-16 fighter jets.
As part of a deal valued at $699 million, Washington agreed to sell Islamabad up to eight Lockheed Martin F-16 fighter jets, in addition to radar and other equipment. Much of the cost would be covered by the US government’s Foreign Military Financing fund, with Pakistan paying some $270 million.
US Congress members also claimed that the aircraft could ultimately be used against India. New Delhi has expressed objections to the deal for the same reason.
