ALWAGHT- The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) strongly criticized Israel’s attacks on Syria’s infrastructure, accusing the US and Israel of taking advantage of the country’s instability and underscoring the need to safeguard Syria’s sovereignty.
On Thursday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) issued a statement condemning recent Israeli strikes on Syria’s infrastructure and critical facilities.
The IRGC accused Israel and the United States of exploiting Syria's instability through aggression and occupation. It called for the protection of Syria’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, describing the current developments as an opportunity to strengthen the "axis of resistance" and accelerate efforts to expel US forces from the region.
The statement framed these actions as steps toward the broader goal of “liberating Al-Quds” and eliminating “the cancerous tumor of Zionism.”
Highlighting the ideological foundation of its mission, the IRGC declared:
“Defending the oppressed, liberating Al-Quds, and supporting the Palestinian people, along with other nations subjected to global arrogance and international Zionism, is a Qur'anic duty and a fundamental ideal of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. Under the guidance of the Islamic Revolution’s leadership, this mission has been pursued with the steadfast sacrifices of the faithful. Many martyrs, led by the iconic figure of General Qassem Soleimani, the ‘Martyr of Al-Quds,’ and other defenders of the holy shrines, have laid down their lives for this sacred cause.”
The IRGC also portrayed the current global landscape as a turning point, asserting:
“The world stands at the threshold of a historic transformation toward a new global power structure, with Islam, led by the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a central pillar.”
The statement concluded by accusing adversaries of deploying hybrid warfare and extensive media campaigns to counter this shift, emphasizing the challenges faced by the Islamic world in achieving this vision.
