ALWAGHT- Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance movement, has launched new retaliatory attacks on Israeli military positions and illegal settlements in northern occupied Palestinian territories, supporting Palestinians in Gaza and responding to Tel Aviv's ongoing strikes in Lebanon.
On Monday morning, Hezbollah announced that its fighters targeted a group of Israeli troops in the Khallet Warda area, near the Lebanese village of Aita al-Shab, with a barrage of rockets. Additional rocket strikes were launched at Israeli forces stationed near Jabal Kahil, close to Maroun al-Ras village, and the eastern side of Markaba village.
Hezbollah also targeted an Israeli artillery position in Beit Hillel moshav in northern occupied lands, and launched rockets at Israeli forces gathered at the al-Malikiyah outpost. The illegal Kiryat Shmona settlement was also hit with dozens of rockets.
Further strikes were directed at an Israeli artillery position in the illegal Odem settlement in the occupied Golan Heights. Earlier, Hezbollah had launched separate rocket barrages at the Israeli military’s Filon base, the 210th Division headquarters, and the Tirat Carmel base in southern Haifa. The city of Haifa and the Israeli army’s Samson unit’s base near Lake Tiberias were also targeted.
Since October 2023, Israel has been conducting strikes against Lebanon in the wake of its war on Gaza, which Hezbollah has responded to with multiple retaliatory operations across occupied Palestinian territories. Israel intensified its strikes on Hezbollah in late September, assassinating leader Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and several senior figures.
According to Lebanon’s health ministry, at least 2,350 people have been killed and 10,906 injured since the clashes began last year. Hezbollah has vowed to continue its operations as long as Israel persists in its Gaza offensive, which has so far claimed the lives of at least 42,519 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
