Alwaght- Amid the rejuvenated wave of unceasing bombardment in Lebanon and while over the past few days Israeli military said it controls flights to and from Beirut International Airport under the excuse of banning arms delivery to Hezbollah, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in an important and meaningful visit arrived in Beirut to reiterate the staunch support to Hezbollah and the people of Lebanon, a visit that stands as a crystal clear sign of coordination between Iran's diplomacy and field in a day of demonstration of Axis of Resistance unity.
Iran stands shoulder to shoulder with Lebanon in war
The visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to Lebanon and then to Syria and the meeting with the officials of these countries, which are defined under the Axis of Resistance, comes at a time that after a year of the Israeli regime's warmongering in Gaza, the Israeli criminal leaders have expanded their hostilities to include Lebanon on recent weeks on the eve of the anniversary of October 7 attack to cover up their defeats on the ground. In their new adventure, the Israelis launched a series of terrorist assassinations of resistance commanders and leaders, including the brave Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
These terrorist actions, along with the continuous and blind bombing of civilian areas, which have been responded to by resistance missile attacks deeper into the occupied territories, have pushed the prospect of war conditions to greater intensity and a wider scope. In the meantime, in the middle of sad silence of the Arab world to the aggression of the Israeli regime against an independent Arab country like Lebanon, the trip of the highest diplomatic official of the Islamic Republic to Beirut more than anything contains the declaration of support of Tehran and other sides of the Axis of Resistance to the Lebanese nation and government against this barbarous aggression.
This resolute message was clearly stressed in the various meetings of the Iranian diplomatic delegation with senior Lebanese officials, sending a clear message to Israel and its ally the US that any plan of ground invasion of Lebanon or continuation of bombardment will not be tolerated and Tehran and other allies of Hezbollah are fully ready for any scenario of intensification of war.
In his meeting with caretaker Lebanon Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Araghchi expressed condolences to the people of Lebanon for the martyrdom of Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and condemned the Israeli bombardment of Lebanon, saying that Iran is resolved to continue its support to the Lebanese people, nation, and resistance against the Israeli aggression.
Certainly, this significant visit amid difficult conditions in Lebanon will have a great role in shattering the Israeli psychological warfare and the Western and Arab propaganda to paint Lebanon as blockaded and left alone in war and in giving the Lebanese a self-confidence boost to stand against the Israeli crimes.
Sending aid and breaking the strategy of blockade on Lebanon
In addition to the political and promotional aspect of the visit, the visit of the FM Araghchi amid war, which has so far displaced a large number of people of southern Lebanon, can help foil the evil Israeli plan as Tel Aviv seeks to repeat Gaza scenario in Lebanon through disruption of airports, fully controlling the Lebanese skies, controlling Lebanese sea borders, and possibly bombing the routes with Syria under the ruse of banning arms delivery to Hezbollah like in 2006 war. Like Gaza, Lebanon has been facing economic problems and has an urgent need for foreign aid especially in the energy sector in recent years, and therefore, naturally, the Israelis, who are afraid of entering the war with Hezbollah on the ground, will try to bring the Lebanese to their knees through economic pressure or at least create challenges to Hezbollah behind the fronts.
The Iranian FM carried with himself 10 tons of humanitarian aid including food and medicines, showing that Iran at the highest levels will not allow closure of Beirut-Tehran flights. This issue somehow reminds the duties of the international community, especially the Arab countries, towards the protection of civilians in Lebanon and that the Israelis should not be allowed to apply the humanitarian crisis on Lebanon.
Diplomatic blow after the Operation True Promise II masterpiece
The visit to Beirut can be seen from another aspect, and it is the fact that this visit showed off Iran's power and demonstrated the general Israeli incapability after second painful Iranian missile blow on Wednesday. While the Israeli leaders and settlers were hiding in the shelters for days in expectation of Iran's punishment, after the missile attack of Wednesday and its over 90-percent success, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei led the Friday prayer amid unprecedented popular attendance, Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian visited Doha to participate in Asian Cooperation Forum, and on Friday Iran's FM and a number of members of parliament landed in Beirut in a closest distance from the occupied territories despite the Israeli threats of striking any unidentified planes in Lebanon skies, showing that Iran's strong arms are way more powerful than Tel Aviv leaders' bluffs.
