ALWAGHT- Israeli military tanks are advancing further into the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza as part of a ground offensive, following months of asserting Hamas in the area had been "eliminated."
Israeli military forces are reportedly conducting extensive airstrikes on the eastern areas of the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in casualties among Palestinian civilians, according to reports from Al-Jazeera, citing local sources on Sunday.
Additionally, Israeli military tanks have penetrated deeper into the Jabalia refugee camp, advancing across Salah al-Din Street amid ongoing clashes with Hamas fighters.
Eyewitnesses have reported that the tanks are encircling shelters and residential buildings in the densely populated region, prompting large-scale evacuations and displacements towards the western part of Gaza City.
Furthermore, Israeli drones have allegedly targeted ambulances near the clinic operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Jabalia, as stated by Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the civil defense directorate in Gaza.
Basal noted that emergency response teams in Rafah, al-Zaytounm, al-Sabra, and Jabalia have been overwhelmed with distress calls, confirming that these areas have been subjected to overnight bombardments.
