Hezbollah initiates its most extensive attack into Israel since the Gaza conflict began

Hezbollah initiates its most extensive attack into Israel since the Gaza conflict began

ALWAGHT- The attack follows Hezbollah's announcement that Israeli troops have allegedly martyred one of its fighters in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance force, claims to have conducted drone strikes on Israeli bases north of the city of Acre in response to the reported killing of one of its combatants. This action is described as the most significant incursion into Israeli territory since the Gaza conflict began. According to a statement released on Tuesday, Hezbollah launched "a coordinated aerial assault utilizing decoy and explosive drones, targeting" two Israeli bases situated between Acre and Nahariyya.

Hezbollah stated that its actions were in response to a previous Israeli strike that resulted in the death of one of its fighters. The group released what seemed to be a satellite image, highlighting the attack site with a flash encircled in red.

On Tuesday, Lebanon's official news agency NNA reported that a minimum of two individuals lost their lives and six others sustained injuries following an Israeli airstrike on a residential district in the southern Lebanese town of Hanin.

"Israeli fighter jets targeted a two-story residence with two air-to-ground missiles, causing complete destruction to the building, which was home to a family that had remained in the town despite the onset of Israeli assaults," stated NNA.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for launching numerous rockets towards northern Israel late on Tuesday, citing the martyrdom of two civilians as the catalyst.

Hezbollah unleashed "numerous Katyusha rockets" towards northern Israel "in retaliation for the Israeli military's assaults on residential buildings, notably the tragic incident in Hanin resulting in civilian casualties," according to a statement by the resistance force.
