Alwaght- An Israeli drone killed three Palestinians in the West Bank on Wednesday hours after Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian towns, torching cars and buildings.

The attack by a drone is rare in the West bank and can herald a change in the ground of Israeli-Palestinian confrontation.

The strike near the flashpoint city of Jenin came amid a surge in violence over recent days in the occupied West Bank, where the Israeli forces have been launching regular raids in recent months in search operations for Palestinians mobilizing to respond to Israeli crimes.

statement by the Islamic Jihad movement said two of the men were its fighters while the third was from the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades armed wing of the Fatah movement.

The Israeli forces have stepped up their attacks on Jenin refugee camp in recent months as resistance has begun to build its presence in the West Bank which for decades has been safe for the Israeli occupation.

Estishhadi operations have been growing by the Palestinians in the West Bank against the Israeli forces and settlers. New resistance groups have emerged since last year, setting off the alarm bells to Tel Aviv.

Arin Al-Usud (Lions’ Den) is one of these newly founded groups that carries out successful attacks on Israeli targets.

The Israeli regime last month killed three top Islamic Jihad commanders in an airstrike in Gaza. The air raid triggered barrages of missiles fired into Israeli cities.
