Israeli Regime Kills 2 More Palestinians in Besieged Gaza

Alwaght- Israeli regime forces have killed one Palestinian an injured at least 127 on Friday during the 19th week of “Great March of Return” protests along the eastern borders of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Witnesses say Israeli regime occupation forces opened fire at hundreds of peaceful Palestinian demonstrators, who arrived to the Gaza border to participate in the 19th Friday of “The Great March of Return” to break the nearly 12-year Israeli siege.

Medical sources confirmed that one Palestinian was killed and at least 127 of others were injured after Israeli forces fired live ammunition at protesters during their participation in marches near the return camps east of Khan Younis district, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Palestinians in Gaza marched during the 19th Friday protests under the slogan of “Martyr of Al-Quds (Jerusalem), Muhammad Youssef,” in memory of the killed 17-year-old Palestinian youth.

The current protests in Gaza, which began on March 30th during the anniversary of the 1976 Land Day, have witnessed participants from all walks of life and a number of activities such as football matches, prayers and the traditional music.

However, the Israeli regime's response included firing explosive bullets, live ammunition, and tear gas , killing at least 154 protesters.

In previous demonstrations, protesters burned hundreds of tyres, creating a smokescreen to protect them from sniper fire.

Gaza has been under an inhuman siege imposed by the Israeli regime since June 2007, causing a decline in living standards as well as unprecedented unemployment and poverty.

Israel has also launched several wars on the Palestinian sliver, the last of which began in early July 2014 and ended in late August the same year. The Israeli military aggression killed nearly 2,200 Palestinians and injured over 11,100 others.
