Palestine at the Heart of Islamic World’s Concerns, Says Pezeshkian

ALWAGHT- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that the Palestinian issue, as the primary concern of the Islamic world, has continued to maintain its central position in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a phone call with newly appointed Hamas Political Bureau Chief Khalil al-Hayya, emphasized that Palestine remains the foremost issue of the Islamic world and a central pillar of Iran’s foreign policy. He congratulated al-Hayya on his appointment and expressed hope for his success in serving the Palestinian people.

Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s support for decisions and initiatives taken by Palestinian leaders during negotiations, while honoring Palestinian martyrs, including former Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. He praised the resilience of Palestinians and pledged continued Iranian support for their cause.

Al-Hayya thanked Iran for its backing of Palestine, stressing that Palestinian groups would remain committed to their objectives despite Israeli attacks. He said Hamas would coordinate with other factions and would not allow negotiations to achieve what Israel failed to accomplish militarily.

The Hamas official also criticized Israel’s role in regional instability and praised Iran’s resistance against threats, saying Tehran had helped create new regional dynamics. He expressed hope for stronger cooperation between Iran and Palestinian groups in the future.
