ALWAGHT- Iran carried out the executions of two men early Monday after the Supreme Court upheld their death sentences for alleged cooperation with Israel’s Mossad.
Iranian authorities identified the two executed men as Omid Behzad and Pouria Safvat, accusing them of working with Israel’s Mossad through networks established during the US-Israeli military campaign against Iran. Officials said Behzad provided coordinates and information on security and military sites, while Safvat shared images and details of sensitive locations.
Both men were arrested by the IRGC’s intelligence unit and convicted of espionage and cooperation with Israel, according to Iranian authorities. Their death sentences were later upheld by the Supreme Court before being carried out.
