China to Display Hypersonic Weapons During WWII Anniversary Parade

ALWAGHT- To mark 80 years since Japan’s WWII surrender, China will hold a large-scale Beijing parade displaying hypersonic missiles, modern aircraft, and advanced military technology.

China will hold a large-scale military parade in Beijing on September 3 to mark the 80th anniversary of Japan’s surrender in World War II. Tens of thousands of participants are expected, with President Xi Jinping reviewing 45 troop formations in Tiananmen Square. Russian President Vladimir Putin is also expected to attend, though participation by other foreign leaders or overseas troops has not been confirmed.

The parade will feature hundreds of aircraft, modern tanks, trucks with anti-drone systems, and early warning planes designed to protect China’s aircraft carriers. New missile systems, including hypersonic and anti-ship variants, will be unveiled publicly for the first time, highlighting the PLA’s technological advances and ability to adapt to modern warfare.

The event underscores China’s rapid military modernization, with the PLA now operating the world’s largest naval fleet and expanding its nuclear arsenal. Recent reforms have created new aerospace and information warfare commands, reflecting a shift toward integrated multi-domain operations. In preparation, Beijing has tightened security and conducted large-scale rehearsals involving tens of thousands of personnel.
