Iran Denies Accusations of Being Involved in Attempt to Assassinate Trump

ALWAGHT- The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry denied the report alleging Iran's involvement in a recent assassination attempt against former US president Donald Trump.

In an early Wednesday statement, Nasser Kanaani refuted reports from an American media outlet alleging Iran's involvement in the recent armed attack on Trump.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran remains committed to pursuing legal action against Trump for his direct role in the assassination of Martyr General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. However, Iran categorically denies any connection to the recent armed attack on Trump or any intentions thereof, dismissing such claims as politically motivated with malicious intent," the spokesperson declared.

These remarks followed CNN's report on Tuesday, where it was claimed that US authorities had received intelligence in recent weeks from a human source indicating a plot by Iran to potentially assassinate Donald Trump, prompting increased security measures by the Secret Service around the former president.
