Saudi New Hajj Application Sets up Sectarianism

Alwaght- Saudi 2015 Hajj application for Pakistan requires the pilgrim to identify if s/he is Shiite or not. Answering the question, on the page number 8 of the questionnaire, is compulsory for the approval of the Hajj application.

In other words, Saudi Arabia will not entertain any Hajj application from Pakistani applicants that fail to specify whether the applicant is a Shiite or not.

"Are you Shia?" is the newly added must-answered question of 2015 hajj application for Pakistani Muslims which can be considered one of the flagrant examples of Saudi Arabia's growing sectarianism among Muslims worldwide.

It seems that Saudis do not want a repeat of the 1987 demonstrations during the hajj pilgrimage, which led to the deaths of over 400 people in Makkah.

Moreover, according to WikiLeaks, Saudi Arabia funds terrorists groups in Pakistan and Afghanistan. In fact, Takfiri terrorists collect data of Shiite Muslims including doctors, professors, engineers, politicians and kill them theough Saudi sources.

Pakistan has the second largest population of Shiite after Iran. Shiites account for about 20% of the 185 million population of Pakistan.
