Alwaght- Iranian Revolutionary Guards warned Saudi warships against any possible tensions during their upcoming naval drill in the Persian Gulf.
The warning statement issued on Wednesday rejected the idea of such naval drills as provocative and warned the participating countries against entering Iranian territorial waters.
The statement reads as follows:
To all sea vessels participating in the Saudi Arabia naval drills, whether Saudi or others, we declare:
The Naval Force of the Revolutionary Guards of the Islamic Republic of Iran believes this drill is basically an example of tension making and diminishing the stable security of the Persian Gulf.
Thus no sea vessel participating in these naval drills is allowed to pass Iranian territorial waters. Never approach the territorial waters of the Islamic Republic of Iran and even do not pass international waters close to our territory, because we declare such pass will not be a case of harmless pass.
The naval forces of the Revolutionary Guards of the Islamic Republic and the Military are in full preparedness for guarding a stable security of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz and will react instantly and proportionally to any movement, attempt, or action to jeopardize the peace and security of the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and the Sea of Oman.
