Wahhabism More Evil Than Israeli Regime: Hezbollah Leader

Wahhabism More Evil Than Israeli Regime: Hezbollah Leader

Head of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah

Wahhabism is more evil than the Israeli regime and is not a Shiite-Sunni issue

Alwaght- Wahhabism is more evil than the Israeli regime and is not a Shiite-Sunni issue, the Head of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah said.

Addressing an annual meeting of Muslim eulogists, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said “Wahhabism is more evil than Israel, especially [in] that it seeks to destroy others and eliminate whatever thing that has to do with Islam and its history."

The meeting is held each year ahead of Muharram mourning month when Shiite Muslims hold lamentation ceremonies for the martyrdom of their Third Imam. People responsible for such ceremonies participate in the meeting.

"This project [of Wahhabism] was launched in 2011, and it not a Shiite and Sunni matter. The role played by spy services is completely evident here. We should use this opportunity to pin Wahhabism down and deal a blow to it,” the resistance leader said.

The existent conflict, Hezbollah leader said, was not between Shiite and Sunnis, but with Wahhabism.

The Saudi born Wahhbism is an extremist ideology preached by the state-backed centers and clerics inspiring terrorist groups including the ISIS and al-Qaeda.

The Lebanese leader also called “British Shiite” a more serious threat than both Wahhabism and Zionism. He described the promoters of such path as the mercenaries of intelligence services.

Referring to the restless struggles by Riyadh to portray Syrian war as a sectarian conflict, Sayyed Nasrullah rejected the very notion of “moderate” armed group in Syria and said all those fighting Damascus were either working with the ISIS or al-Nusra, which has recently renamed itself.

Hezbollah chief also said there is no prospect for political solution in Syria and concluded “Developments on the [battle] ground will ultimately determine [the outcome]".
