Indian forces clashed with Kashmiri protestors after the strictest crew was imposed on the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) on Tuesday

Alwaght – Indian forces clashed with Kashmiri protestors after the strictest crew was imposed on the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) on Tuesday.

Kashmiri people took to the streets to protest a ban on the holiday prayers in major mosques of the region imposed by the Indian authorities in a bid to prevent exactly such clashes.

The forces used tear gas and live bullet to disperse the crowd resulting in the death of 2 men while 150 others were also injured.

Mustafa Ahmad Mir was hit by a teargas shell in Bandipora in north Kashmir, resulting in his on spot death while another youth, Shahid Ahmad Seh died due to pellet injuries in Nagbal village of Shopian.

The curfew was imposed on all ten district of the valley to prevent a protest rally named “UN Chalo” planned by the resistance leadership.

An Indian security force was died of injuries he suffered during clashes in Nowhatta on August 15 while another cop died of heart attack after a tear smoke shell landed near his home in Awantipora.
