Some 20 Militant Groups Reject Syrian Truce

Nearly two dozen armed groups in Syria have rejected the truce backed by Russia and US, Fars New Agency reported.

Alwaght – Some Twenty militant groups in Syria have rejected the truce backed by Russia and US, Iranian Fars New Agency reported.

An earlier mortar attack on the government positions in the northern regions of Aleppo proved that some terrorists are going to defy the ceasefire.

A number of militant groups have signed a statement declaring that they would not abide by the deal, accepted by the Syrian government.

The signatory groups include but not limited to Faylaq al-Sham, Nouralddeen al-Zinki movement, al-Faoj al-Awal, al-Ferqa 101, Faylaq al-Homs, Jeish al-Islam, Etihad al-Islami al-Ajnad al-Sham, Ansar al-Islam Front, al-Ferqa 13, Liwa al-Fatah, al-ferqa Shomaliyeh, al-Shamiyeh Front, Kataeb al-Safwa al-Islamiyeh, al-Ferqa al-Wosta, Fastwom Kama Amrat, Jeish al-Nasr, Jeish al-Tahrir, Liwa al-Soqouu Jabal al-Zawiyeh, Liwa al-Horiyeh al-Islami, al-Isaleh Front, al-Tamiyeh and Jund al-Badr 313.

The Saudi backed Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group also had rejected the truce just hours before its start on Monday.

Syrian truce, initiated on Monday, was agreed upon during the recent negotiations between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Syrian government also welcomed the truce set to deliver humanitarian aids among civilians in the country.
