Alwaght- Hezbollah leader reiterates that the axis of Resistance will eventually triumph and will keep on supporting Palestine while terming the Israeli regime as the greatest threat in the West Asia region.
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah made the comments in a speech while addressing a ceremony themed the “Resistance and Liberation Day” on Wednesday as Lebanese celebrate the 16th anniversary of Israeli military withdrawal from their country.
He stressed that the Zionist entity “is our enemy” and that the only way to confront this enemy is by resistance.
The leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement pointed out that Israel is the “greatest threat” to Palestinians and the entire region, calling for “comprehensive resistance” against the Zionist enemy.
Sayyed Nasrallah renewed commitment to the tripartite formula of “army, people and resistance,” noting that this formula is facing threats and that “we should work together to confront this threat.”
He further highlighted Israel's crimes against Palestinians, saying every one should remember that the Tel Aviv regime is the real enemy and the greatest threat to the entire region.
Nasrallah said anti-Israel struggles should not be limited to the battlefield, emphasizing the need for “comprehensive resistance” against the occupying regime in all areas, including culture and media.
Such resistance is the only way to end the Israeli occupation, said Nasrallah, adding that this could be realized if the nation and army stand together.
The Hezbollah chief said Lebanon would not have been liberated were it not for the sacrifices of the resistance fighters.
He pointed to attempts to undermine the anti-Israel resistance axis, urging all sides to express solidarity with resistance and stand by the movement in its fight against the Israeli occupation.
The Hezbollah leader also called on the Palestinian nation to remain vigilant in the face of those who seek to take advantage of the chaos in the region, adding that “unity” would be its only “savior.”
The resistance axis will not be defeated and the flag of Palestine will be raised again God willing, Nasrallah stressed.
He hailed the municipal elections with took place in Lebanon in general and especially in south last Sunday, stressing that the elections proved the strength of alliance between Hezbollah and Amal movement.
Sayyed Nasrallah thanked the resistance crowds for taking part in the municipal vote, noting that the electoral turnout was high.
The resistance leader noted that the situation in the region is heading towards escalation due to the US presidential elections, calling the Lebanese people to be vigilant against the seditious scheme plotted by enemies of the resistance.
Despite the escalation, Sayyed Narsallah stressed that the axis of resistance will go ahead with securing achievements in several regions including Syria and Iraq, noting that the end of the Takfiri group, ISIS, is near.
Referring to the “Resistance and Liberation Day”, stressing the importance of marking the day as a national day “in a bid to benefit from our history for our future.”
“We stick to this occasion as any nation does with its history and national occasions,” Sayyed Nasrallah addressed cheering crowds in Nabi Sheet.
Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah said that all the Lebanese should mark this day, calling upon those (political parties) who disagree with Hezbollah to put these disagreements aside and consider this day as a national one.
The Hezbollah leader also said that, “our generations should know more about the Resistance and Liberation Day, stressing that the repercussions of liberations must always be recalled.”
“In liberation day we should remember the Israeli crimes against the Lebanese and Palestinians. We should remember that the Zionist entity is our enemy.”
On the other hand, Sayyed Nasrallah renewed his call to abide by the tripartite formula of “army, people and resistance,” noting that this formula is being targeted by the resistance enemy.
“Our army, our people and our resistance is targeted… we should be aware. We should believe in our capabilities, we can defend our country, we can build our country.”
The Israeli regime first invaded Lebanon in 1978 and later escalated the military operation into a full-scale offensive in 1982.
Following the 1982 offensive, known as the First Lebanon War, Tel Aviv refused to leave southern Lebanon and kept its military presence there in defiance of the UN Security Council Resolution 425 that called on the regime to immediately withdraw.
However, the Zionist enemy eventually buckled under the resistance put up by Hezbollah fighters and pulled out its forces from the occupied areas overnight on May 24, 2000, in what observers call a humiliating defeat for the regime in Tel Aviv and a glorious victory for Hezbollah.
