Alwaght- Suicidal attacks in Iraq’s south and Baghdad on Monday killed at least 20 including people, security and medical staff.
One bomber targeted a joint police and army checkpoint in north Baghdad, while two others struck pro-government paramilitaries on a street in Mishahada, north of the capital, and in a restaurant in Nasiriyah in southern Iraq, according local officials.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks, but the ISIS takfiri group frequently carries out suicide bombings in Iraq targeting civilians and security forces.
Iraq has seen an upsurge in violence over the last month, with a number of suicide attacks taking place in and around Baghdad.
The northern and western parts of Iraq have been plagued by violence ever since ISIS Takfiri terrorists occupied that region in June 2014.
According to the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), a total of 670 Iraqis lost their lives last month while 1,290 others were injured.
