Alwaght- The Syrian air force has managed to target a convoy of 20 tankers smuggling the country's oil by ISIS terrorist group in al-Mayadeen city near the border with Iraq.
According to state-run news agency, SANA, Syrian air strikes destroyed all the trucks heading for al-Mayadeen city near the Iraqi border, where oil stolen from ISIS-held territories is smuggled in to Turkey by Turkish speculators.
Media reports affirm that some Turkish officials, including Recep Tayyib Erdogan and his family members are involved in buying the oil that ISIS terrorists steal from Syria and Iraq, SANA reported
A newly-leaked report on illegal oil sales by ISIS Takfiri terrorist group has revealed that most of the oil stolen by ISIS in Iraq and Syria is sold off in Turkey at very low prices.
Norwegian daily Klassekampen leaked details of the report, which was put together by Rystad Energy, an independent oil and gas consulting firm, at the request of the Norwegian Foreign Ministry.
Russia has also said it has information that the son of Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is involved in lucrative oil trade crucial in funding the operations of ISIS Takfiri terrorist group in Syria. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in late November that there is evidence showing Erdogan’s son has an interest in the oil trade with the terrorists.
Some reports indicate that cheap Syrian oil that ISIS terrorists trafficked to Turkey may be the real reason for the attack on the Russian Su-24 bomber morning, November 24th.
Reports say the last eight months ISIS has managed to sell $800 million dollars worth of oil on the black market of Turkey. The oil was smuggled from ISIS occupied areas in Iraq and Syria.
Meanwhile, SANA reported a number of ISIS terrorists were killed in artillery and rocket attacks carried out by the army units on their positions and gatherings on the outskirts of al-Jafra area, Dayr al-Zawr.
In another development, a top commander of al-Qaeda-linked Ahrar al-Sham terrorist group, called Abu Talib, was killed in a booby trap explosion in Syria’s northwestern Idlib Province.
Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed terrorists since March 2011. More than 260,000 have reportedly lost their lives and millions displaced as a result of the violence.
Syrian forces have been battling terrorists, particularly ISIS terrorists, on different fronts throughout the country. They have recently been making rapid advances against terrorists in operations backed by the Russian air cover, which began on September 30 last year at the request of the Damascus government.
