ALWAGHT- Since November, Iran's IRGC forces have detained 150 militants and eliminated another 100 during counter-terrorism operations throughout the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan, according to a senior commander.
Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, commander of Iran’s IRGC Ground Forces, shared new details about recent counter-terrorism operations during a memorial for fallen security personnel in Rask, Sistan and Balouchestan. He revealed that 18 foreign terrorists disguised as fuel smugglers were killed in April attacks in Rask and Chabahar, with weapons hidden in fuel containers.
Pakpour added that confessions from arrested collaborators confirmed the presence of foreign operatives posing as locals. He urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid aiding or harboring strangers, particularly foreign nationals who might threaten the region’s stability.
In a separate incident in Goharkouh, over 150 militants were arrested and 100 killed. Pakpour said many detainees admitted to being influenced by a fugitive from Rask now aligned with anti-government forces abroad. He emphasized the need to support the families of fallen soldiers and warned against actions that could endanger regional security.
