Iran Rejects Allegations of Threats Against the UK

ALWAGHT- The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman denied allegations made by a British official, claiming that Tehran has been involved in "potentially lethal" plots targeting the UK.

In a statement on Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei strongly condemned the accusations made by a UK official, dismissing them as baseless and repetitive claims against Iran that have persisted for the past two years without any supporting evidence.

Baqaei's remarks came in response to MI5 Director General Ken McCallum, who alleged that Iran had increased "potentially lethal" plots on UK soil. McCallum claimed that Britain was facing a sharp rise in assassination attempts and other crimes, supposedly carried out by Russia and Iran, with criminals allegedly recruited by these countries.

Baqaei criticized the UK authorities' frequent use of the word "potential" when making these unfounded accusations, suggesting that British security organizations are fabricating enemies to divert public attention from the UK’s involvement in the ongoing massacre of Palestinians and the Zionist regime's warmongering policies in the region.

The Iranian spokesman also urged UK officials to focus their efforts on curbing Israel's acts of aggression and crimes, rather than making baseless allegations and distracting from pressing global issues.

Baqaei further condemned London for harboring notorious terrorist groups that exploit the concept of free speech to promote violence and hatred. He called on the UK to reconsider its "unconstructive policies" towards Iran and the broader West Asia region, emphasizing the need for all governments to take responsibility in combating terrorism and the incitement of violence.
