ALWAGHT- Iran's strong reliance on its domestic capabilities and national power has allowed it to reduce foreign pressures, assert its strength against adversaries, and ensure safe and uninterrupted trade exchanges, according to the IRGC commander.
Major General Hossein Salami, addressing a gathering of university professors in Tehran on Wednesday, underscored that Iran's significant capabilities, molded under the expert guidance of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and bolstered by the support of the Iranian nation, have enabled the country to mitigate and overcome foreign pressures.
He emphasized Iran's ability to assert its national strength against adversaries who have employed hostile strategies aimed at intimidating Iran.
The commander also highlighted Iran's capability to maintain a secure and uninterrupted flow of exports and imports, noting that the US has acknowledged Iran's potential to influence the global economy.
In March 2023, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei emphasized the failure of Iran's enemies to isolate the country, stating, "We have also made progress in foreign relations. The West exerted pressure to isolate Iran. The US and Europe sought to isolate Iran. Isolation in foreign relations means severing all ties with other countries. In reality, the opposite occurred. While our relations with the West weakened, our ties with Asia strengthened significantly, and we will continue to enhance political, economic, technological, and scientific cooperation with key Asian nations."
