Hamid Nouri was released in a prisoner exchange between Iran and Sweden

ALWAGHT- After Oman's announcement about mediating the prisoner exchange between Iran and Sweden, the Deputy for International Affairs of the Judiciary reported the release of Hamid Nouri, who had been unlawfully detained in Sweden since 2019.

According to the report, Oman's government announced that in response to requests from Iran and Sweden to mediate on behalf of prisoners in both countries, Oman successfully brokered an agreement for a prisoner exchange.

As reported by the official Oman News Agency today (Saturday), prisoners from Tehran and Stockholm were relocated to Muscat to facilitate their return to their respective nations.

Oman commended the positive atmosphere during negotiations between Iranian and Swedish representatives in Muscat, underscoring its commitment to resolving this humanitarian issue.

In parallel developments, Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy for International Affairs at the Judiciary, shared on social media: "I am pleased to inform the people of Iran that Mr. Hamid Nouri, held unlawfully in Sweden since 2019, will soon be released and return home. This achievement reflects the dedication of my colleagues at the Judiciary, the Ministry of Intelligence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and especially my late brother, Dr. Amir Abdollahian."
