Amir-Abdollahian presided over the unveiling ceremony of the Iranian consulate’s new building in Damascus

ALWAGHT- The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, alongside his Syrian counterpart, officially opened the new segment of the consular division at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus.

During his visit to Syria on Monday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mekdad, inspected the construction site of the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus, which had been targeted through terrorist attacks by the Zionist regime.

Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a high-ranking commander and military advisor of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in Syria, along with six other Iranians, were martyred in the attack.

Furthermore, Iran’s Foreign Minister, along with the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, inaugurated the new segment of the consular division at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus.

As Amir-Abdollahian toured various sections of the building, he engaged in discussions with the Ambassador and Consul of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus. He commended the recent round-the-clock efforts of the administrative, technical, and consular staff of the diplomatic corps in preparing and outfitting the new consular section of the embassy. His praise was directed at ensuring uninterrupted consular services for Iranian nationals and Syrian citizens, expressing gratitude for their dedication.
