Ben-Gvir Calls for Storming Al-Aqsa Mosque

Ben-Gvir Calls for Storming Al-Aqsa Mosque

Alwaght- Israeli National Security Minister Itmar Ben-Gvir has called for the Jews to storm the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque during the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan.

"Ben-Gvir demanded abolishing the well-known policy in Israel and allowing Jews to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan," reported Israeli regime's Channel 13.

The hardline minister has been a forerunner in past sacrilegious acts against the holy Muslim sites in Palestine.

The Palestinian News Agency Wafa said in a report published last Monday that on the first day of Ramadan, Israeli forces placed barbed wire on the wall around the Lions’ Gate area adjacent to the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex.

The call is accordant with the policies of the Israeli occupation that wants to restrict Muslims in the holy site.

He has been an advocate of this policies. On February 18, Ben-Gvir called for barring Palestinians from the holy mosque during Ramadan.

Earlier last year, he along with a number of settlers desecrated the holy site, drawing strong reactions from the Palestinians and Muslim world.

Hamas at the time warned that the hardline minister crossed a "red line" storming the mosque and vowed a crushing response.

The increased number of ultranationalist Jews entering the compound, and the frequent storming of the site by Israeli security forces, including inside the prayer hall of Al-Aqsa Mosque, has increased Palestinian anger over the past years.
