Iraq’s Islamic Resistance Launches Drone Attack on Haifa Chemical Plant

Iraq’s Islamic Resistance Launches Drone Attack on Haifa Chemical Plant

Alwaght- Islamic Resistance in Iraq has announced it attacked a chemical plant in the Israeli port of Haifa.

The group said that it carried out the attack earlier on Saturday.

Maintaining that its attack comes in solidarity with Gaza, the group vowed to launch further attacks.

Since October 7, Haifa, a major Israeli port city, has been attacked several times by this Iraqi group and Yemen's Ansarullah Movement.

The deputy mayor of the city last month warned that in case of a large-scale attack on the city's maritime and trade infrastructure, Israel will fall behind at least 15 years.

Iraqi groups have been launching attacks on the Israeli ports as part of their campaign to force a ceasefire in Gaza. They also attack the American bases in Syria and Iraq as Washington is Israel's main backer in its genocidal war on Gaza.

On February 1 and 6, the group conducted drone and missile strikes on the key Israeli port as it is aware that damage to the port will come painful to the Israeli economy.

These attacks are complementary to a Red Sea blockade imposed on Israeli ports and ships by Yemen.

Yemeni and Iraqi resistance forces say that their attacks will go on as long as the Israeli war on Gaza continues.
