Gaza Conflict: Overview of Significant Events, Day 130

The Zionist regime of Israel remains under increasing international pressure to consent to a ceasefire amidst a worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Humanitarian disaster in Gaza

On Tuesday, a minimum of five individuals lost their lives in the Nuseirat camp located in central Gaza, while an Israeli airstrike claimed the lives of four more in the Brazil neighborhood of Rafah. As Israel prepares to launch an offensive in Rafah, which is home to 1.4 million residents, most of whom have been displaced from other parts of Gaza, there is a growing international outcry urging a ceasefire.

Meanwhile, on the Israeli regimes front, three soldiers from the 630th Battalion stationed in southern Gaza were killed, with two others sustaining injuries during the conflict. Tragically, 10-year-old Hala Mekdad passed away in the intensive care unit of Nasser Hospital after the facility experienced a power outage overnight. This information was corroborated by a video shared on social media by a doctor at the hospital and authenticated by the news agency “Al Jazeera.”

Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza Strip, has faced weeks of blockade, with reports from Ashraf al-Qudra, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, indicating that Israeli snipers have targeted and killed individuals in the hospital's premises.

The bodies of multiple individuals martyred near Nasser Hospital have reportedly been left on the ground for several days due to safety concerns, according to the United Nations humanitarian agency OCHA.

The Zionist regime has identified Rafah as the last remaining Hamas stronghold in the area and has indicated that its ground offensive may soon target the town on the southern border of the Gaza Strip. At least 63 Palestinians were martyred in Israeli airstrikes in Rafah overnight on Sunday, preceding the imminent ground operation.

Palestinian health authorities report that over 28,000 individuals have been injured. The destruction of residential buildings in Israeli airstrikes has rendered more than 85 percent of Gazan residents homeless. A UN survey revealed that nearly one in ten children under the age of five suffers from acute malnutrition.

Tensions and Diplomatic Relations in the Region

The Israeli regime is under increasing international pressure to agree to a ceasefire with Hamas.

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned Israel's military actions in Rafah, Gaza, which resulted in the destruction and martyrdom of Palestinians. Over 100 people were slaughtered in the Israeli bombardments on Sunday night.

In Washington, President Joe Biden and King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed strategies to end the conflict.

Biden also spoke with the Zionist regime president Netanyahu after reports suggested that Cairo threatened to suspend its peace treaty with Israel if troops were sent into Rafah.

Territories of the West Bank under occupation

According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, the Zionist regime ignited a Palestinian truck overnight in the town of Huwara, located in West Bank.

Moreover, Wafa reported that approximately 9,000 Palestinian prisoners are facing "unprecedented retaliatory measures." "The Zionist regimes Prison Service has additionally deprived detainees of essential tools and means of communication with the outside world, such as television and family visits," Wafa stated.

The count of settlers in the West Bank has risen to 517,407, up from 502,991 the previous year. Furthermore, the United Kingdom has imposed sanctions on four Israeli settlers accused of committing human rights violations against Palestinians in the West Bank, following a similar action taken by the US earlier this month.

British Foreign Secretary David Cameron declared the freezing of assets, along with travel and visa bans against the settlers, emphasizing, "Israel must also take stronger action and put an end to settler violence."
