Alwaght- Israeli regime in yet another act of aggression against Syria launched airstrikes against an airbase in the central province of Homs, killing 2 soldiers and wounding three more.
Syrian air defenses responded to “hostile targets over southeastern Homs province”, intercepting “several of them”, the state-run news agency SANA said on Sunday.
Citing a military source, it said the strikes hit the Shayrat Airbase, inflicting casualties and damage. Syrian state television broadcast footage showing air defenses intercepting “missiles of an Israeli aggression”.
Israel has repeatedly targeted Syria with missiles, usually fired from Lebanese airspace or the occupied Golan Heights, wary of air defense systems provided by Russia to Damascus.
The Syrian government several times filed complaints to the UN, but no condemnation emerged for the Western-influenced community.
