US Crosses Line by Providing Arms to Ukraine: Russia

Alwaght- Russia will counter warships from the US-NATO military alliance warships approaching its coast, a top lawmaker has warned.

Russian State Duma (the lower house of parliament) Defense Committee Chairman and former Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Airborne Troops Vladimir Shamanov made the remarks on Wednesday while commenting on NATO plans to ensure a safe passage through the Kerch Strait for Ukraine vessels and expand the Black Sea aerial reconnaissance.

"We will continue to keep an eye on the number and class of ships they plan to show off in the Black Sea near Russia’s coast and will take necessary measures with regard to both the sea zone and land borders," he said.

Meanwhile, The Russian Black Sea Fleet’s Project 11356 frigate Admiral Grigorovich armed with Kalibr cruise missiles destroyed a hypothetical enemy’s bomber in the Black Sea drills.

The Black Sea Fleet’s Su-24M frontline bomber simulated an enemy aircraft in the drills, the press office specified.

Elsewhere, combat teams of S-300 and S-400 air defense units of Russia’s Baltic Fleet successfully repelled a notional enemy’s massive air strike in tactical drills, the Fleet’s press office reported on Wednesday.

Overall, the drills involved more than 10 aircraft, S-300 and S-400 battalions and Baltic Fleet warships.

The crews of warships performing assignments at sea training ranges and involved in air defense missions at the base also practiced electronic launches against air targets, the press office said.
