Alwaght- Syrian air defense units have downed more than half of the air-launched and tactical ground-based missiles fired by Israeli regime last night, the Russian Defense Ministry told reporters on Thursday.
According to the ministry, "the Iranian armed units’ deployment sites as well as the positions of the Syrian army’s air defense units near Damascus and in southern Syria came under attack." "While repelling Israel’s attack, Syria’s air defense units downed more than half of the missiles," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
In last night’s air aggression on Syria, the Israeli regime used more than 70 air-to-surface and tactical missiles, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The army spokesman said in a statement on state television on Thursday that the recent Israeli strikes had demolished a radar station and a weapons depot, without elaborating on the location of the targets.
The Israeli attacks on Syria also killed three people and wounded several others, according to the statement.
It further reaffirmed "the alertness of the army and readiness to defend the sovereignty of the homeland against any aggression,” stressing that attempts to support terrorism would prove futile.
