Alwaght- Syrian army has discovered on Saturday two mass graves containing over 210 bodies in newly liberated town of Douma.
According to al-Masdar news, one of the mass graves contains 172 bodies and the other 40 bodies.
One of the mass graves were found at the Al-Naqal Regiment Base and the other inside the town of Al-Shifouniyah.
The uncovered bodies had decayed, indicating that they had been there for a few years.
The bodies in these mass graves are believed to be Syrian Arab Army soldiers that were captured and later executed by Jaysh al-Islam terrorist group during their military campaign in 2013.
On 14 April 2018, Syrian forces have managed to liberate Douma from Jaysh al-Islam as army has launched a large-scale operation to cleanse suburbs of capital Damascus from foreign-bacled militant and terrorist groups.
