Alwaght- The Saudi-led aggression on Yemeni people continued on Sunday with heavy aerial bombardments of the capital Sana’a, targeting a Yemeni judge and six members of his family.
Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah news website reported that Saudi warplanes attacked the judge’s house in Hay al-Nahzah district on Sunday.
A security official in the capital told Yemeni news agency Saba that the Saudi-led aggressors also bombarded Al-Sabeen and Al-Nahdain areas with more than 15 missiles and high-explosive bombs, as well as the September 26 Park.
The official added that the brutal bombardment on those populated areas led to severe damage to the residential buildings and caused the displacement of many citizens to other places. Many people are believed to have died as a result of Sunday’s bombing although no official figures were availed.
The Saudi regime began its military aggression against Yemen on March 26, 2015. The objective of the illegal aggression was to overthrow the Ansarullah movement and restore power to the fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
At least 8,300 people, mostly civilians, have been killed and over 16,000 others injured since the war began. The Saudi war has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s infrastructure with schools, hospitals, mosques, bridges, factories and water reservoirs being targeted indiscriminately.
Yemenis have been carrying out retaliatory attacks on the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
Yemenis have also condemned the shameful silence of the international community especially the United Nations in the face of the ongoing Saudi crimes and atrocities against the Yemeni people.
