ALWAGHT- Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stresses the necessity for Muslim nations to unite and avert hardships like those faced by the people of Gaza and Yemen.
In a speech on Sunday in Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the significance of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, which unites Muslims from diverse backgrounds. He highlighted that the gathering is crucial for the benefit of humanity and stressed that unity within the Islamic Ummah is the greatest asset. According to Khamenei, if the Muslim world were united, crises like those in Palestine, Gaza, and Yemen would not occur.
Khamenei linked the disunity of the Ummah to the empowerment of colonial powers, such as the US and Israel, who impose their interests on weaker nations. He argued that unity among Islamic countries could lead to security, progress, and mutual support. The Leader also noted that the Hajj, contrary to some perceptions, is deeply political, with its essence, form, and composition rooted in political principles aimed at managing humanity, not just the Muslim community.
The Leader stressed that Hajj is not merely a religious obligation but an opportunity for Muslims to serve humanity. He called on Islamic governments, especially Saudi Arabia, to emphasize the political and humanitarian goals of Hajj. He also urged scholars, intellectuals, and officials to educate the public about the deeper purposes of the pilgrimage, reinforcing its role in fostering unity and service to all of humanity.
