ALWAGHT- The Yemeni armed forces have claimed responsibility for an operation targeting a power station on the Mediterranean coast within Israeli-occupied territories, describing it as retaliation for the Tel Aviv regime's actions in Gaza, which they labeled as genocide against Palestinians.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced the successful targeting of the Orot Rabin power station in Hadera with a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile. Saree emphasized that the operation achieved its objectives and reiterated Yemen's commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause. He declared that Yemeni military actions in solidarity with Palestinian resistance in Gaza would persist as long as the aggression and siege on the territory continue.
Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen's Supreme Political Council, issued a stern warning to Saudi Arabia following its recent attack on a border region, which resulted in civilian casualties. Al-Houthi criticized Saudi Arabia for its failed strategies in Yemen and reaffirmed Yemen’s preparedness to counter any distractions from the Palestinian issue. He reminded Saudi Arabia of the enduring strength of the Yemeni people and their resistance over years of conflict.
Since 2015, Yemen has been subjected to a war launched by Saudi Arabia with US and Western backing, aimed at defeating the Ansarullah resistance movement. Despite heavy military pressure, Yemen has showcased advanced weaponry, including ballistic missiles and drones capable of reaching up to 2,000 kilometers. These weapons have been instrumental in Yemen's high-precision attacks on Israeli-linked vessels in regional waters and deep inside occupied Palestinian territories, including Tel Aviv.
In recent weeks, Yemen has escalated its pro-Palestinian military operations, targeting Israeli assets with advanced hypersonic missiles. This has led to retaliatory strikes by the US and UK, which have caused significant destruction in Yemen but failed to deter its armed forces. Yemeni officials have vowed to continue their operations until Israel ends its attacks on Gaza, where thousands of Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have been killed or injured in the ongoing conflict.
