Iranians Honor Army Personnel Martyred in Israeli Attack

ALWAGHT- Iranians gathered in large funeral processions to honor four Army officers martyred in Israel's recent act of aggression against the nation.

On Monday, mourners gathered in the provinces of Kermanshah, Khuzestan, and Lorestan to honor the four Iranian Army Air Defense Force personnel—Hamzeh Jahandideh, Mohammad Mahdi Shahrokhi, Sajjad Mansouri, and Mehdi Naghavi—who lost their lives in Israel's recent aggression. Processions in Kermanshah, Ramhormoz, Shushtar, and Borujerd saw the martyrs' flag-draped coffins carried by mourners, who condemned the Israeli attack and called for a resolute response to the regime's actions.

The attack, conducted by Israeli warplanes early Saturday, used airspace accessible through US military bases in Iraq to launch long-range missiles targeting military sites in Iran's Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces, a move Iran denounced as a violation of international law and the UN Charter. Iran’s air defenses intercepted the assault, reportedly limiting the damage to a few radar sites.

President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that while Iran is not seeking war, it will deliver an "appropriate response" to Israel’s assault. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized Iran's right to respond, linking the aggression to Israel's ongoing actions in Gaza and Lebanon.
