ALWAGHT- The top commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that Israel’s recent aggression against Iran, which was intercepted by the country’s air defenses, reflects a strategic miscalculation and growing frustration within the occupying regime when facing the resistance front.
On Sunday, Major General Hossein Salami addressed Israel's recent attack, intercepted by Iran’s air defenses a day prior. The attack, which occurred early Saturday, targeted multiple Iranian military sites, resulting in the deaths of four Armed Forces members and one civilian. Limited damage was reported, with assessments ongoing, according to Iran’s Air Defense Base.
Salami condemned what he called the "illegitimate and illegal" actions of the "child-killing Zionist regime," stating that the strike fell short of its objectives due to Iran's air defense preparedness. He described Israel's actions as a sign of "miscalculation and frustration" amid its conflict with resistance forces in Gaza and Lebanon. He further warned of “bitter, unimaginable consequences” for Israel.
Salami also honored the four servicemen who were "courageously" martyred. On Sunday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that while Iran does not seek war, it will deliver an "appropriate response" to Israel's aggression. Additionally, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf affirmed that Iran's response will be “definite and calculated.”
