ALWAGHT- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the United States is merely 'putting the lives of its troops at risk' by sending them to the occupied territories to support the Israeli regime.
"The U.S. has been supplying an unprecedented number of arms to Israel. Now, it is also endangering the lives of its troops by deploying them to operate US missile systems in Israel," Araghchi stated in a post on the social media platform X on Sunday.
His remarks follow reports that US officials are considering sending one of its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) systems to Israel, with American troops being deployed to manage the advanced anti-missile system.
Currently on a regional tour aimed at easing tensions, Araghchi mentioned that the Islamic Republic has made "tremendous efforts in recent days to prevent an all-out war in our region."
However, he emphasized that Iran has "no red lines" when it comes to defending its people and interests.
The Israeli regime is reportedly deliberating on how to respond to a significant missile strike by Iran earlier this month, which was in retaliation for the assassination of senior officials from the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), as well as Hamas and Hezbollah.
