Iran’s Vice President Attends Eurasian Economic Forum in Armenia

ALWAGHT- Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref has arrived in Armenia to participate in the third Eurasian Economic Forum and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting.

Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, leading a delegation, arrived in Yerevan at the invitation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, whose country currently holds the rotating presidency of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Aref is scheduled to deliver a speech at the Eurasian Economic Forum and meet with foreign prime ministers during the event.

The forum, held on September 30 and October 1 in Yerevan, coincides with the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting, attended by the leaders of EAEU member states and observers. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, highlighting a decade of economic cooperation.

The forum’s theme, “10 Years of the EAEU: Prospects and Priorities,” focuses on topics including economic collaboration, technological and digital advancements, infrastructure development, logistics, entrepreneurship, and international cooperation. These discussions aim to assess the EAEU's progress and outline future priorities for the union.

On the sidelines, several EAEU-Iran events are planned, involving business, public sector, industrial, and logistics representatives from Iran. Additional activities include a business dialogue between the EAEU and Iran, roundtables on trade and investment promotion, and meetings for Iran's industrial and agricultural companies.
