ALWAGHT- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed Tehran’s willingness to engage in constructive negotiations to resolve disputes with the West, stressing that the talks should be grounded in mutual respect, free from pressure and threats.
In an interview with IRIB on Saturday, Abbas Araghchi condemned the new Western sanctions imposed under the pretext of Iran supplying arms to Russia.
He reminded Western governments of the ineffectiveness of sanctions, stating that they cannot force their will on Iran through such measures.
Araghchi emphasized that Iran has always supported dialogue and has never shied away from constructive negotiations aimed at resolving differences. He reiterated that Iran remains open to talks based on mutual respect, not threats or pressure.
He criticized sanctions as a failed tactic for confrontation and coercion, rather than a means for cooperation.
Araghchi expressed surprise that Western governments continue to rely on the unsuccessful strategy of sanctions and urged them to reconsider their approach.
