ALWAGHT- The Israeli military reports that another soldier has been killed, and several others injured, in clashes with Palestinian fighters in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Al Araby television network, quoting a military statement, reported on Tuesday that over 330 soldiers have been killed since ground battles began in Gaza in mid-October.
Palestinian resistance groups claim the actual number of Israeli military fatalities is much higher, accusing the Israeli government of concealing the true figures amid widespread public anger over the war.
Public discontent has been mounting in Israel, with frustration growing over the cabinet's failure to secure the release of dozens of captives still held by Palestinians, despite the conflict dragging on for more than ten months.
